STATEMENT

2014年に武蔵野美術大学と朝鮮大学校の間にある塀越しに、作家自身が行ったボールゲームの様子を単視点で記録・編集した作品である。ルールのないまま始まるこの遊びは、共有可能な秩序を模索する試みであり、予測できないボールの軌道や繰り返されるエラーの中に、「突然、目の前がひらけて」で交わされた対話と葛藤のメタファーを見出している。

This is a work recorded and edited from a single viewpoint, depicting a ball game I played over the wall between Musashino Art University and Korea University in 2014. This game, which begins without rules, is an attempt to achieve a shareable order. In the ball’s unpredictable trajectories and the players’ repeated errors, I see a metaphor for the dialogue and tension that emerged through “Suddenly, the view spreads out before us.”
